Travel Policy

Hearings outside metro Atlanta area - $125.00 per hour for travel time; plus customary travel expenses including, but not limited to airfare, mileage, car rental, lodging and meals.

Eight hour minimum for all cases outside of metro Atlanta.

Biography

Scott A. Schweber is a seasoned attorney with nearly four decades of experience in the legal field, having established his practice in Atlanta, Georgia, after obtaining his Juris Doctor from Emory University in 1985. His career began with a focus on utility rate litigation at the Georgia Public Service Commission, where he honed his skills in complex regulatory matters. Since transitioning to private practice in 1988, Scott has built a reputation as a dedicated and knowledgeable litigator, representing a diverse clientele ranging from individuals to national corporations.

In 2008, Scott shifted his focus toward alternative dispute resolution (ADR), bringing his extensive litigation experience to the role of a neutral. His deep understanding of the legal landscape, combined with his balanced and empathetic approach, makes him an effective mediator and arbitrator. Scott finds great fulfillment in helping parties navigate the complexities of their disputes, striving to achieve resolutions that are both fair and efficient. His commitment to ADR is reflected in his full-time dedication to mediation and arbitration, where his personality, rigorous training, and extensive experience converge to offer parties a trusted and impartial guide through the dispute resolution process.

With nearly 40 years of extensive litigation experience, Scott A. Since 2008, Scott has been an active mediator and arbitrator, bringing his wealth of legal experience to numerous arbitration panels. His ADR work extends to a variety of disputes, including business, commercial, and consumer matters, as well as specialized cases related to the Georgia Lottery and coin-operated amusement machines.
